FIRST AID LEVEL 1          (2 Day Course)

TOPICS COVERED IN THIS COURSE INCLUDES:

  • Basic adult anatomy and physiology
  • Basic First Aid Including Fractures
  • Basic Bleeding Control
  • Choking
  • CPR and AED Usage

This course complies with the minimum requirements of Health and Safety


FIRST AID LEVEL 1  and 2          (4 Day Course)

TOPICS COVERED IN THIS COURSE INCLUDES:

  • Principles of First Aid and Safety including emergency scene management.
  • Artificial Respiration
  • One Rescuer Adult CPR with AED training
  • Two Rescuer Adult CPR with AED training
  • Choking
  • Basic wounds and bleeding
  • Basic fractures
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Joint, chest, hand and eye injuries
  • Pelvic and Abdominal injuries
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Multiple patient injury management and rescue carries
  • Child and infant resuscitation
  • Environmental injuries and illnesses
  • Poison, bites and stings
  • Seizures
  • Shock with unconsciousness and fainting
  • Management of foreign objects
  • Elementary and applied anatomy and physiology

Complies with the Health and Safety requirements for higher risk industrial and work based environments.


FIRST AID LEVEL 1, 2 and 3         (5 Day Course)

This course covers all the topics mentioned in the Level 1 and 2 course as well as the following:

  • General principles of fractures and threatened limb
  • Strain injuries
  • Specific injuries
  • Crush injuries
  • Allergic reactions
  • Emergency Child birth
  • Behavioral emergencies
  • Drowning
  • Ethics related to emergency care

Complies with the Health and Safety requirements for higher risk industrial and work based environments.


CPR Family and Friends          (4 Hour Course)

This is a 4 hour program and is ideal for family members and friends who want to enhance their life skills.

The program includes choking, CPR and AED usage and is based on international best practice.


Mini-Medic  (Ages 9 to 12 years old)        (8 Hour Course)

This course is ideal for the child who is too young to do the First Aid Level 1 course, yet is very interested in helping others.

The topics covered in this course include:

  • Principles and Objectives of First Aid
  • Age appropriate anatomy and physiology
  • Awareness of own limitations
  • How to call for assistance
  • Safety
  • Basics of Wound care
